All points are reset! Now is your time to get on the scoreboard with movie trailers that star an actor with famous parents!

Unsure if we will have a show 3/21 or 3/28 but the next theme will be for movies where one of the stars has nepotism to thank for their role. They need to have a famous parent/uncle etc.

Something we started last season was creating a set pool of potential themes to choose from for the rest of the season so you can plan your submissions ahead. These are not in order and we will pick the theme for the next show at the end of every show.

  • One bad day - Movies where a person's life falls apart in a day (ex: falling down, 3 o clock high)
  • ACAB - All cop movies are really actually about cops being bastards ACMAACBB
  • NEPO Babies - Movies where the lead has a famous parent
  • Bad accents 2 -We've done this before but here is a round 2.
  •  YEAR - Need to pick a specific year that we have not already done (maybe 1989 or 2001)
  • Bandwagon - Movies obviously inspired by a much more popular trend but way later.
  • Fantasy - wizards and warriors shit
  • Child Actors - kid protagonists
  • JAIL - Either movies with actors that went to jail or movies about jail - Check old theme to list ones we may have watched

  • College Party - Trailer has to have a college party
  • Desert or Dessert - Trailer either features a dessert or has a scene in the desert
  • Sequels nobody asked for - direct to video, deep sequels, etc (ex: another stakeout, cruel intentions 3)

  • Women movies - Movies Starring women.
  • Pandering movies - Pandering to Nate or Sam
  • Hitchcock Vibe - Movies that are like a VIBE of Hitchcock

We will do another in-between episode soon and will announce the submissions for the theme submissions for the next season. WATCH THIS SPACE!

We are still in between seasons, and we want to try some fun one offs. One theme we have talked about for a while now is SCENE BOYZ!

You want to submit a SCENE from a movie you really like. It should be roughly a trailers length (we are not watching a 10min scene) You want to put the details in the context like how long the scene is and if you want us to start at a specific time stamp (incase the time stamped link doesn't work) and end time stamp.

The theme is wide open but we would really want to see some underappreciated scenes. Not really the scenes that everyone in the world knows. You can highlight a scene that is really good acting from a really bad actor. You can highlight a scene with a really cool effect. It's totally open. Context will really help here

Wow! It came down to the wire with 4 players within 1 trailer of winning the season: Rex with 95, Lowbacca with 93, Anthony Potkines with 92 and WeeGee with 90.

Anthony Potkines submitted "A Shot In the Dark" which got 4 points brining him to 96 for the week. We then watched Rexbosworth's trailer for 'Street Smart' which was cool and none of us had seen it. It got a bonus point from the boyz and chat gave it 100% giving it 9 total points. This put him at 104 making it mathematically impossible for anyone to beat him. We then watched the trailer submitted by Lowbacca for "Eddie the Eagle" which people liked but only got 7 points. This put him at 100 but still not enough to beat Rex. We also watched the trailer submitted by WeeGee for "Big Trouble in Little China" and while we didnt officially vote, chat was popping off on this one and even if it got 9 points, still would have only been getting him 99.

Big congrats to Rex Bosworth, Champion of Man!

We will have some between season shows where we do some weirder ones that we will be sure to post about and will then open submissions for themes for season 9. Thank you to everyone that plays. WE ALL WIN!

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias that describes the systematic tendency of people with low ability in a specific area to give overly positive assessments of this ability. The term may also describe the tendency of high performers to underestimate their skills.

This weeks theme is trailers with the character is in over their head. Confident Idiots. Use your interpretation. Use context to explain if its not obvious.
